1. PETER BETTINGER, (son of LEONARD & LANA (LOWER)
BETTINGER) was born in Madison County in 1803, and in 1832 located in
Ellisburgh. They had two sons and two daughters. In 1850 the census stated he
had $3570 worth of property, and in 1855 he had 165 acres worth $6500. Census
1865 states that Peter Bettinger died Oct 12, 1864 at age 66, that he had been
born in Madison Co, and died of palsy.
He married
EVA HARTER, daughter of LAWRENCE & MARIA (CAMPBELL) HARTER,
who was born 15 Dec 1804 in Herkimer County.

2. DELOSS BETTINGER (son of PETER & EVA (HARTER) BETTINGER)
was born in 1828 in Madison Co., and was reared upon a farm. He was a farmer
on road 137.
He married (1) in 1856
HARRIET HUDSON, daughter of WILLIAM & SALLY (SMITH) HUDSON.
She died in 1883.

7 ii EUGENE BETTINGER of St Lawrence County
8 iii ALICE BETTINGER married ABNER SPRAGUE of Sandy Creek
9 iv ARTHUR BETTINGER of Sandy Creek
He married (2) 1886
HARRIET PARSONS, widow of JOHN COOK. She was the daughter of
HORACE & EUNICE (HARTER) PARSONS.
5. PHILETUS L. BETTINGER (son of PETER & EVA (HARTER)
BETTINGER) was born in 1840 in Jefferson County.
He married (1) in 1861
CELIA M. ELILE (EHLE) who died in 1878
