1.  NICHOLAS BROTT was born ca. 1780-1790, per census of 1830,
Brownville.  Notice the various spellings of the name.  I believe that this 
Nicholas BROTT is the son of Nicholas Bratt of Wells, NY and his wife 
Anna Barbara Overacker, but I have been unable to prove it.

He married

LAVISA (---).  The list of their children is only tentative.

     4   iii   NICHOLAS BROTT married RUTH RODGERS.  They and their
                        children lived in De Kalb, St. Lawrence Co. 

     5    iv   ANDREW BROTT married ?CATHARINE (---).  They and their
                        children moved to De Kalb, St. Lawrence Co.

     6     v   JOHN BROTT married MARY (---) and moved to Nebraska.


2.  PHILIP BROTT (son of NICHOLAS and LAVISA (---) BROTT) was born
ca. 1805.  They bought land in Brownville in 1835,
part of a contract dated 1832.  He sold the land to Edward Maynard, whose
daughter married Charles M Brawt, the son of Philip's brother Henry.

3.  HENRY BRAWT (son of NICHOLAS and LAVISA (---) BROTT) was born
1809 in Jefferson County.  He died 22 Nov 1889 at Brownville.
