1.  ISAAC W. CHAFFEE was born 26 May 1804 in Littleton, Grafton co. NH.  
About 1815 he traveled with an uncle to Franklin County, NY  and clerked
for him for 5 years.  Then he moved on to Lorraine, Jefferson County.  In
1858 ISAAC lost an arm in a threshing machine.  He shortened the spelling
of the last name from CHAFFEE to CHAFA. ISAAC died on 7 Feb. 1873 and I do
not know where he is buried.  


He married on 27 March 1831 in Lorraine 

JULIA ELVIRA WARRINER, daughter of ETHNE and REBECCA (WHEELER) WARRINER.
JULIA died 24 Nov 1878 here in Adair County, IA and I have not been able
to locate the place where she is buried either.
