2. RANSOM J. COLE, was b 1826 in Canada. He was a Civil War Soldier, enlisted 28 July 1862 in the Tenth NY Artillery. He died at Kalama Hospital 11 January 1863 of small pox while he was serving. Because of his death, his family was left destitute. He was buried in Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville. (Orleans #2 census)
