Henry Charles Gould, son of John Gould II and Cynthia Smith, was born 1838 in the Town of Wilna, Jefferson County, New York. He enlisted 30 August 1862. He died January 31 1865 Rock Point Hospital, Virginia (Civil War Hospital) and is buried at City Point National Cemetery, 10th Ave and Davis Street, Hopewell,Virginia - Section A Grave Number 840

At the time of his death he was a private in the 10th New York Heavy Artillery (at time of death) POW

Died near Rock Point Hospital of sickness - Buried near Point of Rock Hospital, VA. Grave has marker - Reference 21B-24-54
