LAMONT HALLADAY

Union Soldier - Distinguished Service

Lamont Halladay, single, age 16, farmer, enlisted in Henderson for 3 years with 186th NY Infantry, company I on August 22, 1864. He had the rank of Private. He was mustered in September 18, 1864. He was in the battle at Hatchers Run - October 27, 1864; battle in Front of Petersburg - April 2, 1865. He was honorably discharged June 2, 1865.

The town of Henderson paid him a bounty of $1000 for his service.

He was the son of Watson and Margaret (Pryor) Halladay born October 29, 1848 in Henderson NY.
