Funeral Services of Albert Putnam

LaFargeville, December 22. -- The funeral services of the late Albert M. Putnam were held from the home on Maple St. Wednesday afternoon, followed by services at the Methodist Episcopal Church. Both services were very much delayed on account of a wreck somewhere on the railroad which made it impossible for the only brother, De Costa Putnam, of Michigan, to reach here at the appointed hour. Rev. D. E. Raymond, Pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church officiated.

Veterans of the Civil War attended the services in a body. The pulpit was decorated with a large American flag and two tiny flags were laid upon his breast.

The bearers were Elwyn Tucker, Ora Tucker, Jerome Snell and Frank Gailey. Mr. Putnam was a member of Co. D 186 Infantry.

Among those from out of town to attend the service were De Costa Putnam, of St. John's, Michigan; Miss Lelia Halladay of Watertown, Mr. Shepard of Watertown and Miss Marion Tucker of Watertown.
