EDGAR B. WILLIS

Union Soldier - Distinguished Service

Edgar B. Willis was born in 1840 and at the age of 21 enlisted with the 35th New York Volunteer Infantry, Company B, at Wilna, NY., on June 11, 1861. He was seriously wounded in the 2nd battle of Bull Run on August 30, 1862 and was sent to hospital in Washington. Edgar was honorably discharged on June 5, 1863.
