1.  JOSHUA FOWLES was born in Maine abt. 1793.  He was in Jefferson
County 1850 Census for Cape Vincent.  He lived on Carlton Island prior to that.
Asa moved to Algoma, Wis. about 1855 along with Joshua, Lucretia, Benjamin,
and George.  They are all buried in Wisconsin.   JOSHUA died in Wisconsin 22
July 1863 and is buried at Algoma, WI in Evergreen Cemetery.

He married 

LUCRETIA FOWLES (maiden name unknown).  She was born abt. 1774 in New
Hampshire.  Members of the Fowles family married into the DeFaut family
several times.  The Joseph DeFaut family is listed in the Cape Vincent Historical
Museum.  LUCRETIA died 10 July 1861 in Algoma, WI.
