1.  LEONARD HELMER (son of HENRY A. & MARIA ELIZABETH (---)
HELMER) was born 16 Sep 1791 in German Flatts, Herkimer Co., New York.  He and 
his wife lived in the Mohawk Valley area of Herkimer or Fairfield.  He was 
shown as head of household in 1840 census record living in Evans Mills, 
Jefferson Co.  We know the family migrated sometime between 1835 when Leonard 
and some of the older children appear on the New York census in Fairfield, 
Herkimer Co., New York and 1840 when Leonard and the older sons appear in the 
Evans Mills/LeRay on the Fed. census that year as heads of households.  
Many maintained their residence there throughout their lives.  For instance, 
their son, Han Adam (I believe he went by Adam), born 14 Jan 1811 made a will 
dated 1882 which is among the wills of Jefferson Co. It listed him, as well as 
5 brothers, and 5 sisters all of LeRay, Jefferson, New York.  He first shows 
up on a deeds record in 1842 in Jefferson County.  LEONARD HELMER died
10 Apr 1864 at Evans Mills, Jefferson, Co. New York.

CATHERINE HERDER/HARDER, who was the daughter of JACOB F. & HELENA
(McKOOMS) HARDER.  She was born 15 May 1792.  She died  29 Jul 1866 
Evans Mills, Jefferson Co., NY.

2.  JACOBUS HELMER (son of LEONARD & CATHERINE (HARTER) HELMER) was born

ELIZABETH FOLTS, the daughter of CONRAD & SUSANNA (COLE) FOLTS, who was born
16 Apr 1814.  JACOB was listed as of LeRay, Jefferson Co, NY in A. Helmer's 
will dated Nov 1868.

4.  PETER HELMER (son of LEONARD & CATHERINE (HARTER) HELMER) was born 
28 Dec 1812 probably Herkimer, New York.  He was of LeRay, Jefferson Co., NY 
at the time of Adam's will.

He married  

CATHERINE (---) who was age 46 on 1865 NY State census.

7.  CATHARINA HELMER (daughter of LEONARD & CATHERINE (HARTER) HELMER)
was born 7 Jun 1818 in Herkimer, New York.  She died 11 Jul 1875 at age 57 
and was buried in the Hoover Cemetery in the Town of LeRay.  She died after 
the proving of Adam's will Nov 1870 and was listed in will as Catharine KELLER.  
She was found in the 1865 NY State Census with husband Rueben KELLER and 
3 children in LeRay, Jeff., NY.  

She married

REUBEN KELLER.  He may be buried also in Hoover Cemetery, where a stone is 
broken and unreadable.

8.  MAGDALENA/Lena HELMER (daughter of LEONARD & CATHERINE (HARTER)
HELMER) was b. 10 May 1820 in Herkimer, New York.  She was living at time of 
proving of Adam's will Nov 1870, listed in the will as Lana Walrath.  She was 
found in 1865 NY State census with husband Daniel WALRETH (age 49) and 2 
children, Mary (age 24) and John (age 23) plus  Catherine WALRETH (age 70 - 
Daniel's mother).  Her grave stone in the old Evans Mills Cemetery, Town of 
LeRay, gives her as LANEY, wife of DANIEL WALRATH, died 7 Feb 1897 aged 70 yrs.
    
She married 

DANIEL WALRATH.  Two Daniel Walraths are buried in the two Evans Mills 
Cemeteries, but assuming LANY'S husband would be buried in the same one she is,
a DANIEL WALRATH who died 27 Oct 1889 at the age of 73 years is buried in the 
old cemetery.

10.    PHILIP HELMER (son of LEONARD & CATHERINE (HARTER) HELMER) was born
29 Aug 1825 in Herkimer Co. (grave stone). He died 7 Apr 1887 (grave stone) 
and was buried in the old Evans Mills cemetery.

He married in 1844

BETSEY C. HOOVER, the daughter of PETER HOOVER.  She was born 29 Jan 1825 
(grave stone) and died 4 May 1896 according to her grave stone in the old 
Evans Mills cemetery.

14.   LOUISA HELMER (daughter of LEONARD & CATHERINE (HARTER) HELMER) was
born 13 Sep 1834 in Fairfield, New York.  She died 16 Sep 1872 aged 38 years 
and 5 days according to her grave stone in the Hoover Cemetery in the 
Town of LeRay.  She is found in the 1865 NY State census with Aaron KELLER 
(age 39) and Aaron's father, JACOB KELLER (age 71), Aaron's brother, 
William KELLER a recent widow, (age 31) and Jacob KELLER's grandchild 
Almuron (sp?) (age 8). I believe from the way it is recorded that the child 
is Aaron and Louisa's.  
 
She married 

AARON KELLER, who was the son of JACOB.
