The youngest Freeborn BAKER, the third by that name, served in the Civil War. Palmer BAKER also named a son Freeborn.

CAULKINS, CALKINS

Robert D. Caulkins Mon Aug 4 17:52:31 1997
In 1848, in a letter of administration from the Surrogate's Court of Jefferson County, New York, to John CAULKINS of Lorraine Township, New York, there is made mention of several of Joel CAULKINS' (John's father) grown children. One of these children is named Isaac and is recorded as being a resident of Genesee, New York.
My Great great great grandfather is, according to the records that I have been able assemble, Isaac CA(U)LKINS, who was married to Sarah PETTIS of Boston or Charlestown, Massachusetts. Isaac and Sarah CA(U)LKINS had several children, one of which might have been Joseph D. (DISBROW?) CA(U)LKINS, who is in my direct line of descendency.
Can anyone help me connect Joseph D. CA(U)LKINS to Isaac CA(U)LKINS, I've been trying for 20 years without success.

They had 3 children all born in Leicester, John Milton October 19, 1801, Origin Cushman October 30, 1804, and Daniel Hubbard July 22, 1906. In the American Agriculturist of 1918 I find a Cushman Sprague with his wife Flossie of LaFargeville. Can anyone give me information on this Cushman? Was his name Origin Cushman? Were his parents' names John and Sally of Leicester Mass.? Is he related to Cushman Oscar Sprague?
