PIONEER KANE FAMILY

1. URIEL C. KANE (U.C.) (son of NICHOLAS and LUANE (---) KANE) was born
1815 in New York State. He purchased a lot from William Lord in 1847 located
in Brownville, Jefferson County. His father Nicholas lived with him in 1860
(72 yrs. old). Nicholas was a cooper and I noticed a barrel factory in
Brownville. URIEL lived there until 1866 when he moved to Missouri.
The house was on the corner of Basin and William St. (See 1864 map.)
I obtained this info from deed records. He may have lived in Brownville
earlier, but I can't confirm that info. He died about 1902 in Ralls County,
Missouri.

He married 24 Dec 1835 in Brownville

MARY ANN BAKER, daughter of DANIEL B. and NANCY (---) BAKER. She was
born about 1819 in New York State and died about 1890 in Ralls County, MO.
Both her parents were buried in Brownville.
