1.  GIDEON LOWE was born in New Paltz, Ulster County, NY 8 May 1779. 
He changed his name from Low to Lowe.  He spent his early life in  Denmark,
Lewis Co. NY.  Later he became a pioneer settler of Depauville, Town of
Clayton.  The Gideon Lowe listed in Child's could very well be one of Gideon's
sons.  The only child I have is my ancestor, JACOB. 

He married 

POLLY GOUDIERE, who was born April 2, 1782 and died 2 Sep 1867.

2.  JACOB LOWE (son of GIDEON & POLLY (GOUDIERE) LOWE) was born
1808 and died 6 Apr 1874.  He is buried in Depauville Cemetery

He married in 1831

BETSY HANCOCK, who was born about 1808 and died 11 Oct 1895.  She is
buried in Depauville cemetery with her husband.
