PIONEER SMITH LUTHER FAMILY

1. SMITH LUTHER (son of THEOPHILUS & RHOBE (SMITH) LUTHER) was born 16
October 1800 in Russia, Herkimer Co., New York, a brother of ISAAC
LUTHER. Luther Hill Cemetery record says SMITH was born Watertown, NY,
but older and younger sibings were born in Russia, NY; also mother died in
Russia, NY so it's not likely family moved there before 1800. Smith LUTHER
was a farmer and early pioneer of the Brownville/Pillar Point area of Jefferson
County, New York. He was a man of small stature. Smith is #1004 in the
Luther Genealogy. He died 05 November 1842 in Brownville, Jefferson Co.,
New York.

He married 24 January 1827 in Watertown?, Jefferson Co., New York

CHARLOTTE L. JEROME who was the daughter of STEPHEN & DOCIA (FINNEY)
JEROME. After the death of her first husband, she and her three sons removed
to Tuscola Co., Michigan about 1854. There she married Thomas STREETER,
her neighbor, in 1860, after his wife died.
