1.  MINOR MERRILL (son of MOSES & WAITSTILL (HETH) MERRILL) was born 25 Aug
1781 at West Hartford, Connecticut.  They came to Champion in the spring of 
1804 from Connecticut with their household goods on a sled drawn by a yoke of 
oxen with a horse in the lead.  He died 9 Mar 1860 at Champion, Jefferson 
County NY.

He married 6 Oct 1803

BETSY CODY who was born 20 May 1782 in Tolland, Connecticut.  She died 
6 Sep 1870.
