PIONEER LUMAN PECK FAMILY


 
1.  LUMAN PECK was born on 7 May 1769 in Middletown, CT. Census Index of New York indicates that 
Luman Peck lived in Henderson, Jefferson County up until 1840 and is listed as Head of Household.  

He married in 1792 in Montgomery,  NY

EUNICE BELL who emigrated in 1805.  She was buried in 1838 in Bishop Street
Cemetery.

5.  DANIEL HIGBY PECK (son of LUMAN & EUNICE (BELL) PECK) was
born on 17 Sep 1800 in Montgomery County, NY.  He purchased 80 Acres in in
Cold Spring, WI on 26 Jun 1852.  He died on 4 No

He married (1) on 13 Nov 1823

HANNAH TAGGERT (daughter of THOMAS & PHOEBE (---) TAGGERT) who
was born on 30 Aug 1803.  She died on 4 Aug 1827.

He married (2) on 25 Jun 1828

MARILLA CUSHMAN who was born on 29 Feb 1804.  She died on 8 Nov
1847.

SARAH (---).  A "Sarah" is listed in the D. H. Peck household in the 1860
Census.  It is assumed that this is a third wife.


6.  CHESTER PECK (son of LUMAN & EUNICE (BELL) PECK) was born  in
1804 in Montgomery County, NY.  He resided at North Brookfield (WI?, IL?)
in 1866.

He married in 1827 in Henderson, NY

7.  DAVID B. PECK (son of LUMAN & EUNICE (BELL) PECK) was born in
1806 in Henderson, NY.  He was a tavern keeper.  David and wife Alzenia lived
in Henderson, NY up until approximately 1843.  

He married in 1837 in Henderson, NY

15.  CHARLES BINGLEY PECK (son of LUMAN & EUNICE (BELL) PECK) 
was born on 9 Jul 1833 in NY.  He died on 22 Oct 1890.  Resided in
Koshkonong Township in 1860 according to census. 

He married on 15 Apr 1863 in Koshkonong, WI

Henderson, NY.

She married in 1855 in Town of Brookfield, NY

20.     GEORGE WILBUR PECK (son of DAVID B. & ALZENIA (JOSLIN)
PECK) was born on 28 Sep 1840 in Henderson, NY.  His obituary identifies his
birth place as "Hudson, NY".  After serving in the Civil War he established the
"Representative", a weekly newspaper in Ripon, WI.  He also served as City
Treasurer of Ripon, WI.  He died on 16 Apr 1916. 

He married in 1860 in Janesville, WI

FRANCENA ROWLEY, who was born in 1840 in Delavan, IL.
