March 25, 1862, p. 4:

On Tuesday evening, March 18th, by Rev. I. Matisson, Mr. HIRAM W. KNOWLTON, and Miss EMMA S. CRAMER, all of Watertown.

Suddenly, in Philadelphia, on the 22d inst., of __, Miss ABIGAIL HOWLAND, in the 78th year of her age.

In Rodman, March 10, DEACON ABEL PARKER, age 69 years. He was born in Rockingham, Windham Co., Vermont, on March 31, 1793, where he spent his childhood. In February 1807, his father emigrated to this county with his family and settled in the town of Rodman. Abel, in company with an elder brother, came the long distance driving an ox team. He was several times called out in defense of the frontier in the War of 1812 and participated in the Battle of Sackets Harbor in June. 1813. In the winter of 1838, he united with the Baptist Church in Adams.

April 1, 1862, p. 4:

Thursday evening, March 20th, 1862, at the residence of the bride's father, by Rev. David Spear, Mr. SANFORD D. HUNT of Dexter, and Miss MARY E. SAFFORD, of Adams Centre.

April 8, 1862, p. 1:

At Pt. Salubrious, in the town of Lyme, April 2, 1862, MRS. BLANDINA, wife of JOHN M. TREMPER, age 75 years. Fifty-five years since, Mr. and Mrs. Tremper were united in marriage, and for fifty-three years have lived together upon the same farm. Mrs. Tremper lived a retired and quiet life.

April 22, 1862, p. 4:

Suddenly, at Milwaukie, on the 16th inst., MARIE ANTOINETTE, wife of H. G. GILBERT, formerly of this village.

In New York City, on the 16th inst., Mrs. L. D. SANDIFORTH in the 29th year of her age.

At the residence of her father, W. Cooper, Esq., in the town of LeRay, on the 15th inst., Miss MARGARET COOPER, in the 21st year of her age.

April 29, 1862, p. 2:

In this village, on the 7th inst., MRS. JANE T. SMITH, wife of GEORGE SMITH, age 44 years.

Drowned, July 6th at Antwerp, JAY, so of LUCIUS and HARRIET GILL, age 6 years and 3 months. After tea, unobserved, he strolled to the banks of the river and fell in. (long obituary followed notice)

August 5, 1862, p. 4:

In this village, July 31st, of diptheria, WILLIE B., youngest son of Mr. A. and MRS. S. D. FREEMAN, age 11 years and 5 months.

August 12, 1862, p. 3:

August 10th, of congestion of the brain, NELLIE R., daughter of ROSWELL W. and SARAH M. FLOWER, age 1 year, nine months and 7 days.

On the 8th inst., in this village, KATE, daughter of ROBERT and ELIZA BARCLAY, age 5 years and 8 months.

August 19, 1862, p. 3:

In the village of Adams, on Thursday, August 14th, by Rev. R. Richard Kirk, Mr. H. J. LANE to Miss R. S. PAYNE, all of Sackets Harbor.

On the 20th of July 1862, at his residence in Leray, of inflammation of the bowels, JAS. A. C. PIERCE, age 41 years.

August 26, 1862, p. 1:

In Rutland, on the 9th inst., KITTRIDGE EAMES, age 74 years, of consumption.

August 26th of cholera infantum, WILLIAM HENRY, infant son of S. G. and JULIA WIGGINS, at their residence in Antwerp, age 4 months and 25 days.

At his residence in Antwerp, August 16th, after a long illness, JOHN CHASE, age 33 years.

September 9, 1862, p. 3:

In Utica, on Sunday the 7th inst., the wife of Col. NICHOLAS SMITH, in the 72nd year of her age. She was one of the oldest residents of Oneida County and the mother of N. M. Smith, Esq., of this village.

September 15, 1862, p. 1:

At Trinity Church, in this village, on Wednesday, Sept. 19th, by Rev. T. A. Babcock, L.SHERMAN to SARAH E., elder daughter of Hon. F. W. HUBBARD, all of this town.

In this village, at the residence of his father, on Thursday, the 11th inst., GEORGE W. GEN___ unreadable, in the 27th year of his age.

At Champion, Jeff. Co., on Sept. 8, 1862, Mr. C. V. R. HORTON in the 52nd year of his age.

September 30, 1862, p. 1:

In Champion, Sept. 25, 1862, of inflammation on the brain, LOIS HATTIE, only daughter of MERRITT and ALMEDA SMITH, age one year and five months.

October 7, 1862, p. 3:

Of consumption, on the 28th ult, ELIZA MELVINA, wife of WALTER SARGEANT, age 34. She left a husband and five little children.

October 14, 1862, p. 4:

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, by Rev. E. W. Jones, F. M. LAMON, of Watertown, to Miss HATTIE O. ARNOLD, of Mannsville.

At Watertown, on the 8th inst., by Rev. P. Snyder, Mr. FRANKLIN K. FRASIER of LeRay, to Miss ELIZA M. HERRICK of Pamelia.

In Dexter, Oct. 7th, FRANK E., son of JOHN and ANNA HOWKE, in the 18th year of his age. He was a member of Co., 8, Capt. Gilmour, 7th Battalion of N.Y.V. He was taken sick while at Sackets Harbor, and was taken home but a few days before his death. His burial service was at the Episcopal Church.

October 21, 1862, p. 2:

In St. Stephen's Church, Middlebury, VT., Sept. 30th, 1862, by the Rev. H. M. Frost, Capt. W. G. EDGERTON, U. S. Army, to Miss LUCY SEYMOUR, daughter of the late OZIAS SEYMOUR, Esq.

At the residence of the bride's father, Oct. 16, by Rev. C. W. Treadwell, Mr. MELVIN E. CORNWELL, and Miss MARY E. YOST, eldest daughter of NICHOLAS D. YOST, all of Theresa.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, by Rev. Father Hogan, Mr. C. BETTS and Miss KATE HANLY, both of Watertown.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, by Rev. E. W. Jones, F. M. LAMON of Watertown to Miss HATTIE C. ARNOLD of Mannsville.

In this village, on the 19th inst., of consumption, PHILLIP MOHAN (or MORAN), age 23 years.

MILLE, wife of Rev. JAMES BROWN, died in Watertown, NY, Oct. 10, 1862, at the age of 68. She was a member of the Arsenal St. M. E. Church.

October 28, 1862, p. 1:

In Pamelia, at the residence of his son, Oct. 23, 1862, THOMAS MAKEPEACE, age 83 years. A long obituary followed, none of which was readable, as well as four more death notices, also unreadable.

November 4, 1862, p. 2:

Oct. 28th, 1862, at the residence of his sister, MRS. L. WAIT, of Philadelphia, Mr. SAMUEL McNEAL, of consumption, age 35 years. He left a wife and child.

November 11, 1862, p. 4:

Oct. 30th, by Rev. P. Snyder, PHILLIP P. CRANE, of Rutland to Miss ELLEN JANE LEECH of Pamelia.

By the same, Nov. 1st, SAMUEL E. BALLARD, to Miss ELIZABETH McGREGOR, both of Watertown.

In Clayton, Oct. 31st, of croup, CLINTON E., son of ISAAC E. and CARRIE D. SYLVESTER.

November 18, 1862, p. 4:

In this village, Nov. 13th, of dropsy, THOMAS T. DORY, age 27 years.

December 2, 1862, p. 2:

On the 10th inst., of diptheria, ELLEN R. BAUM, of Marathon, Cortland Co., NY, age 13 years, 1 month and 3 days.

December 23, 1862, p. 3:

Neither the married nor death notices are readable.

December 30, 1862, p. 4:

In Rodman, Dec. 25, 1862, by Rev. Quincy Blakely, WILLIAM H. LEE and ELIZABETH A. MILLER, both of Rodman.

In Redwood, of consumption, Dec. 24, 1862, MRS. MARY E., wife of DR. M. J.HUTCHENS, in the 39th year of her age.
