On the morning of the 28th ult, by the Rev. Chas. K. McHarg, Mr. JOHN A. CATHCART, of Brownville, to SARAH, daughter of HORACE LATHROP, Esq., of Cooperstown.

Died:
In this village, on the fifth inst., of consumption, MRS. ARDELIA C., wife of Mr. SPENCER A. WEAVER, in the 22d year of her age, daughter of R. D. RICE. It is only a few short months since Mr. Rice lost a son, (Samuel W.) who died on the 10th of Sept. last.

In Hounsfield, Thursday, Jan. 11th by Rev. Wm. H. Hill of Brownville, Mr. JOSEPH HOCKWELL, to Miss MARTHA MILLER, both of Hounsfield. (probable Rockwell)

Died:
In Rodman, on the 4th inst., of erysipelas, after a recent confinement, MRS. FRANCES E., wife of ROBERT S. WEST, and 2d daughter of D. B. POST, in the 29th year of her age.

In this town, on the 13th inst., of scarlet fever, GEORGE GUSTAVUS, youngest son of HIRAM H. & DELIA A. HUNGERFORD, age 2 years, 30 months, 18 days.

In Watertown, January 25th, by Rev. J. A. Nash, Dr. E. G. HOWLAND, of Martinsburgh, Lewis Co., to Miss ANN MARIA WEBBER, of Watertown.

In Adams, on the 15th inst., by Rev. J. A. Nash, Rev. ABNER WEBB (formerly of the Burman Mission) and Miss MARY M. JENKINS, all of Watertown.

Died:
In this town, on the 5th inst., after a short and severe illness, Miss HARRIET M., daughter of WARREN and CHARLOTTE WOODWORTH, age 6 years.

At Brownville, on the 30th January last, WILLIS GAYLORD, son of BENJAMIN and ANN C. RYDER, age 5 years, 8 months and 15 days.

February 28, 1849, p. 3:

On Thursday evening, the 22d inst., in the town of Pamelia, Jeff. Co., by Rev. L. W. Norton, GARRET IVES, Esq., of Watertown, and Miss ELIZA STEWART, daughter of Mr. JOHN STEWART, of Pamelia.

In this village, Feb. 20th, by Rev. J. A. Nash, Mr. ALEXANDER HAY, and Miss SYLVIA CUMMINS, all of this village.

In Hounsfield, Feb. 22d, by the same, Mr. EGBERT T. ALLEN, of Pamelia, and Miss JULIA M. GOODRICH, of the former place.

In Brownville, on the same evening, by the same, Mr. ELIJAH LITTLEFIELD of Newburgh, Geauga Co., Ohio, and Miss EMILY E. HINDE, of the former place.

At Evans Mils, Feb. 17th by the Rev. J. A. Rossell, Mr. ELI A. WOOD, and Miss NANCY M. CROOK, both of Champion.

In this village, Feb. 22d, 1849, by L. G. Hoyt, Esq., Mr. FOSTER PENNIMAN, and Miss ESTHER PEARCE.

Also, by the same, Mr. EDWIN WARNER, and Miss HANNAH S. ROGERS.

Also, by the same, Mr. CHARLES ROGERS and Miss ANGELINE BLODGETT.

Died:
In this village, on the 16th inst., after a severe and protracted illness, MARY LUCINDA, daughter of J. M. and CHLOE FERRIE, age six years and seven months. The deceased was an only daughter. Her cause of death tuberculated conditions of the lungs. Bennington, VT Gazette, please copy.

March 7, 1849, p. 3:

At Henderson, on the 4th inst., by C. W. Bishop, Esq., JULIUS CHAPMAN and AMANDA M. AMES, both of Henderson.

At the Universalist church in Henderson, Feb. 4th, by Rev. L. ____, Mr. LEWIS SPRAGUE and Miss SOPHIA BARRETT, both of Henderson.
By the same, in Ellisburgh, on the 8th ult, at the residence of Mr. John McKee, Mr. NATHAN C. GARDNER, and Miss ANNA MARIA FRINK, both of Lorraine.

At Theresa, Feb. 17th, MRS. JULIA A. TRIPP, wife of M. W. TRIPP of this village, age 25 years.

At Cape Vincent, Feb. 9, at the residence of her son, GEN. WM. ESTES, MRS. PHEBE ESTES, in the 87th year of her age.

At Adams. Jan 29th, 1849, MRS. MARY WARD, age 83 years.

Jan. 29, MRS. PARHAM, age 78.

Feb. 31, ZEPHANIAH TUCKER, age 71.

Feb. 6th, MRS. SARAH DANN, age 77.

At Adams, Feb. 6, ROBERT EMPRINGHAM, age 59.

At Brownville, Feb. 11th, MRS. SARAH STEVENS, age about 62 years.

At Burrville, Watertown on the 29th inst. MRS. JANE, wife of JOSEPH WIGGINHAM Esq., age 27 years, leaving three children, the two youngest, twins, two weeks old.

In this town, on the 10th inst., JOEL W., infant son of BENJAMIN R. and JANE KNAPP, age 18 months.

At Rutland, on the 17th inst., EMILY, daughter of HENRY and ANN WOODWORTH, age about two and a half years. These were grandchildren of JOEL WOODWORTH, Esq., of this town.

At L_____, Feb. 25, SUSAN, wife of LUTHER STEADMAN, after an illness of three days. Her disease was a combination of distemper and apoplexy.

At Smithville, Jeff. Co., on the 5th ult, BENJAMIN F. SWEET, age 51 years.

March 14, 1849, p. 3:

Married:
In Pamelia, Feb. 27th, by Rev. James Erwin, Mr. JOHN CHAPMAN, and Miss LANEY PRICE, both of Pamelia.

Also in Rutland, March 6th, by the same, Mr. ALBERT GURNEE of Watertown, and Miss MARY E. RANDAL, of Rutland.

Died:
On the 8th inst., at the residence of her father in Rodman, after an illness of eleven months, CANDACE, daughter of NOAH and MARY MERWIN, age 29 years.

In Pamelia, on the 1st inst., MRS. LAPPON, consort of the late WILLIAM LAPPON, Esq., counselor at law of Herkimer, age 80 years.

March 21, 1849, p. 4:

Died:
Feb. 21st, 1849, in Prairie Precinct, Winnebago Co., Illinois, MARY B., wife of FREEMAN LILLYBRIDGE, in the 27th year of her age. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Annsville, NY and formerly of the Baptist Church in this place.

April 25, 1849, p. 2:

Died:
In this village, on Sunday, 22nd inst., EUGENIA E., only daughter of GEO. & JANE T. SMITH, age 6 years, 10 months.

NOTE: Mr. Clark, who ran the paper, was having financial difficulty. The paper then was reorganized and became the NORTHERN NEW YORK JOURNAL, which was also published in Watertown, NY.

October 17, 1849, p. 4:

On the 4th by Rev. J. H. Stewart, Mr. M. D. DeLANO, of Watertown, to Miss JENNETTE M., eldest daughter of HIRAM SUTTON of Copenhagen.

In Antwerp, on the 11th inst., by Rev. C. B. Pond, WM. ROBINSON, M.D. To Miss ELLEN, only daughter of Mr. HENRY WELCH, all of Antwerp village.

On Thursday evening at the Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. E. G. Townsend, Mr. EDWARD A. DODGE to Miss LOUISE J. GRIFFIN, all of Sackets Harbor.

On Wednesday evening, the 3d inst. At Christ's Church in S. Harbor, by the Rev. Mr. Stearns, Mr. J. S. COOK to Miss CLARISSA HARLOW.
