OBITUARY -
JAMES FARLEY - The many friends and acquaintances of JAMES FARLEY in this vicinity, will regret to read the announcement of his death, which sad event occurred last Thursday at his home, No. 78 Main Street in this city. The funeral was largely attended, from his late residence and the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, at 10 o'clock last Friday morning. JOHN FARLEY of Chicago, the only son of the deceased, was prevented by sickness from coming east to attend the funeral. The remains were interred in the Catholic Cemetery at Huntingtonville. The death of Mr. Farley carried away the oldest resident of this city. At the time of is death he was 91 years of age. He spent the most of his life in this city, where he followed the blacksmith trade. CHARLES LA BARGE of this city, is his son-in-law.

The infant child left by MARTHA McEWEN, the Canadian girl whose sad case was detailed in last weeks Re-Union, died at the residence of FREALL BOUDIETTE. Mrs. Boudiette cared for the child like a mother, but it could not survive. Boudiette received $300 for the care of the child from the man who came to this city and represented to be Martha McEwen's uncle. It is believed by some that he was the betrayer of the girl. (Note: Martha McEwen, mother of this child, died the previous week of a fever at age 14)
