FELL INTO THE RIVER - CLARENCE CHAMBERS, the six-year old son of EDWARD CHAMBERS, an employe of Bagley & Sewall, fell into the river near the Factory St. Bridge, Wednesday afternoon and was drowned. The child was playing on the bank when he missed his footing and fell in. The body of the child was found Friday.

WEDDING BELLS: A very quiet wedding took place at the residence of D. W. Baldwin on Arsenal Street, Tuesday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr. FRED E. AVERY and Miss MAMIE J. KOHLER. There were in attendance the near relatives and friends of the bride and groom, and the officiating clergyman was Rev. Doctor Fisk, pastor of the Universalist Church. The couple left shortly after the ceremony. The bride is a well-known dressmaker in this city...Mr. Avery has been engaged in the work of civil engineering during the past five years...The couple will return to Watertown to reside.

SUDDEN DEATH:
MRS. A. A. WRIGHT, who lived with her husband on the W. F. Ford farm near Three Mile Bay, died suddenly and under strange circumstances on Friday afternoon. Mrs. Wright had been away from home about a week attending her father, Mr. Butts, who was sick at Clayton. When she returned Friday she was suffering from a toothache and went to the office of Dr. W. A. Vincent to have the tooth extracted. After the Doctor had used the lancet on the gums about the tooth he stepped into an adjoining room for a glass of water, leaving Mrs. Wright in the chair. Before he returned, she went into a spasm and did not recover consciousness before her death, which occurred about four hours later. Mrs. Wright was about 35 years of age and leaves a husband and one child.

OBITUARY -
Hon. William Westcott Wright, a former resident of this county, died last week at his home in Geneva. Mr. Wright was born in Adams, April 26, 1818. He was educated at Belleville Academy and was one of the first graduates from that institution...During the last years of his life he wrote much for the newspapers. His remarkable memory of men and events made his work in this line always interesting and valuable...He leaves a wife and five children, three sons and two daughters, and one sister, Mrs. E. J. Clark of this city, to whom his death is a severe affliction...
