In the matter of the estate of ABIJAH SCOVILLE of Hounsfield, Jefferson Co., NY:

On 9 June 1838, OLIVER GROW, petitioner, (agent and attorney) on behalf of BETSEY SCOVILLE, executrix, appeared and noted that JASON MARSH was the special guardian of POLLY SCOVILLE, WILLIAM SCOVILLE, MARIA SCOVILLE and ALBERT SCOVILLE.

WILL OF ABIJAH SCOVILLE

ABIJAH SCOVILLE named his wife, BETSEY SCOVILLE. He appointed his wife as sole executrix. Will dated: 25 August 1836. /s/ Abija Scovil
Witnesses: OLIVER GROW and NATHANIEL CARVER of Hounsfield, NY.
Will proved: 9 June 1838.

NOTE: The documents spell the surname as SCOVILLE, but Abija signed it as SCOVIL.
