On 8 October 1850, MARY JANE CLARK of LeRay petitioned to open probate as co-executor with WOLCOTT STEELE who was of Philadelphia, NY.

ALVAN CLARK named his daughter, MARY CLARK and gave her items that were in the possession of her grandmother, SALLY SHEW. Named his son, ALONZO CLARK, and gave him a silver watch that was his mother's. Named his daughter, ESTHER CLARK to receive certain items that were her mother's. Named his wife, MARY JANE CLARK. Named his children: ALONZO CLARK, ESTHER CLARK. He expected and believed that his daughter, MARY CLARK would receive a legacy from her grandmother, MRS. SALLY SHEW. Named his wife, MARY JANE CLARK, as executor and his friend, WOLCOT STEELE as executor. Will dated 24 May 1847. /s/ Alvan Clark
