In the matter of the estate of AMOS GARNSEY of Ellisburgh, Jefferson Co., NY:
On 5 August 1811, BETSEY GARNSEY declined letters of administration for her late husband's estate and requested that DAVID J. ANDRUS, JOHN GARNSEY and LYMAN MUNSON take on the administrative duties. In a letter in the probate file, NEWMAN HOLLY stated that the lot that belonged to the estate of GARNSEY was sold to his uncle, NATHAN HOLLY, the same sale that Mr. Garnsey died. Dated 20 July 1826.
