In the matter of the estate of CHARLES LOOMIS of Ellisburgh, Jefferson Co., NY:

On 8 July 1844, THOMAS LOOMIS of Ellisburgh petitioned to open probate and stated that Charles had appointed him executor of the will.

AMANDA LOOMIS both of Ellisburgh, children of the deceased
Grandchildren and minors under 21:
CHARLOTTE THOMAS
GENETTE THOMAS
ABEL THOMAS, all of Oswego, Oswego Co., NY, children of a deceased son, SAMUEL LOOMIS, who was supposed to be dead but if living whose place of residence unknown.

WILL OF CHARLES LOOMIS

CHARLES LOOMIS named his daughter, EMELINE THOMAS. Named is son, SAMUEL. Named his daughter AMANDA Named his son, THOMAS and appointed him executor of the will. Will dated 29 November 1837. /s/ Charles Loomis
Witnesses: DANIEL WARDWELL and HENRY WARDWELL both of Ellisburgh, NY
Will proved: 24 June 1847.
