On 19 June 1861, JOHN D. TOWNSEND of Savannah, Wayne Co., NY petitioned to open probate and stated that he was the maternal uncle of Chloe, who had deceased on 8 June 1861 at Pamelia, and died a natural death from drowning, and left no will.

WARREN TOWNSEND of Bloomer, Iona Co., Michigan, all maternal uncles of the deceased, being brothers of LENORA PARKER, deceased, who was the mother of said Chloe.
JOHN PARKER of Orwell, Oswego Co., NY
ROSWELL PARKER, whose place of residence unknown, both paternal uncles of the deceased.
