In the matter of the estate of DAVID MILLS:
At a special term of the Supreme Court held in Watertown, NY on 12 December 1859, the business of proving the will of David Mills. A directive to JOHN V. COON of Elyria Co., Loraine, State of Ohio, an attorney and counselor at law, was authorized to examine CHAUNCEY GARRETT and AMANDER MOORE of Elyria of the same place, as witnesses in the matter of proving the will.
"Know all men by these presents that I, David Mills, of Elyria in the County of Loraine and State of Ohio...do publish this my last will and testament. To my dear children, this is my last and dying request not expecting to survive many days. I leave my blessing to you and each of you and wishing you to keep peace among yourselfs this is the greatest blessing, I can leave you. Yet I have a little of this worldly goods which I leave you and desire to have disposed of as follows, to-wit: I give and bequeath to each of my children or their heirs or ...if dead, an equal share of my estate... " He appointed Ansel Mills of Pamelia, Jeff. Co., NY, his dear son, as executor of the will.
Will dated 18 June 1858. /s/ David Mills.
Witnesses: A. Moore and Chauncey Garrett.
The judge ordered the will to be transmitted to the Surrogate Court of Jefferson to be recorded.
