On 2 February 1842, WILLARD IVES petitioned to open probate and stated Elizabeth had lately deceased and he, Willard, was executor of the will.

WILLIAM ALLEN, a minor, of Watertown, NY, having no general guardian. Willard Ives appointed guardian.

ELIZABETH WINSLOW named her daughter, JULIA POTTER. Named daughter, SYLVIA BRINTNALL. Named her grandson, WILLIAM ALLEN when 21. She appointed Willard Ives as executor. Will dated 18 Jan. 1842. /s/ Elizabeth Winslow.
Witnesses: PERLEY G. KEYS and LUTHER SCOTT both of Watertown, NY.
Will proved: 26 February 1842.
