In the matter of the estate of ELLIOT MAKEPEACE of Pamelia, Jefferson Co., NY:
On 19 March 1814, SOLOMON MAKEPEACE petitioned to open probate and stated that his father, Elliot, had died on or about the 12th of March 1813 and he died without a will. Inventory of the estate was completed on 25 May 1817. According to the file the will was recorded 4 January 1829 but does not appear in any of the files - it may be misfiled.

NOTE: Elliot Makepeace was born 13 Aug. 1751 in Warren, Worcester Co. MA and died 13 March 1813 in Pamelia. He was the son of GERSHOM MAKEPEACE and JANE ELLIOTT. Elliot married LUCY BRINTNALL who was born about 1752 in Warren, MA and died 8 Dec. 1842 at 90 years in Pamelia, Jefferson Co. Elliot Makepeace and Lucy Brintnall Brinton were married 7 Oct. 1779 in Brookfield, MA, int. 26 Aug. 1779 at Warren, MA. Son: Elliot Makepeace was born 1787 Warren, MA and died 6 Dec. 1829 at Watertown, NY. He was in the 6th Dragoons War of 1812. His spouse was Mary, b 1810, d 1852.
