On 11 March 1846, in the petition to open probate by GEORGE H. REED, of LeRay, son and heir of Ephraim, he stated that his father had deceased on 11 November 1842, and had left a will.

EPHRAIM REED named his wife, REBECCA. Named his son, GEORGE HENRY REED. Named his two sons and two daughters: MARY ANN; son, CHARLES W.; son VINCENT S; daughter, LOUISA. Named son, George Henry Reed as sole executor. Will dated 12 Feb. 1834. /s/ Ephraim Reed. Witnesses: PETER BELLINGER of Watertown and J. MACOMBER of LeRay. Will proved: 7 May 1846.

NOTE: If this is the Ephraim Reed who served in the Revolutionary War, then he is on the Fonda List on this site. However, his deceased date given in the will does not agree with the cemetery/DAR information.
