NOTE: Jesse was born 14 Nov. 1758 in Maine and died 28 Nov. 1830 in Alexandria. Jessee was a Revolutionary War veteran. He married SARAH STEWART, who was the daughter of JAMES STEWART of Cherry Valley, NY. (Source: Fonda Records) Graves not found. Sarah/Sally married Aaron Newman and was a member of the DAR of Watertown, NY. Aaron D. Newman was born 23 July 1807 and died 3 April 1891 in Alexandria Bay, NY. He married Sally Ann Davis who died 1901 at 85 years and is buried in Alexandria. Aaron was the son of Abraham Newman and Lucinda Crippen; Abraham Newman was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. Saloma Townsend, age 65, b MA was living in 1850 at Pamelia, Jefferson Co NY in the household of Jesse Townsend, age 24, b NY. Jane Davis Comstock was born 1807 and married as his second wife, Sackett Comstock (1793-1874), a blacksmith, of Hermon, St. Lawrence Co. NY; she died in 1857 and is buried in the Hermon Cemetery. Jesse Davis JR. married Hannah Marsh of Alexandria in 1827 and he died 6 Dec. 1884 at 80 years and is buried in the Walton Street Cemetery in Alexandria.
