In the Petition, the heirs and next of kin are named: MARY CAIN, widow of JOHN CAIN of Wilna PATRICK CAIN of Champion, Jefferson Co. THOMAS CAIN, JOHN CAIN, JAMES CAIN, ALICE CAIN, CHRISTOPHER CAIN all of Wilna and are all children of deceased John Cain. All are of full age except James Cain and Alice Cain, who are minors and have no general guardian. Petition date: 25 August 1869.
WILL OF JOHN CAIN/KANE
I JOHN KANE of Wilna, at the age of 55 years, bequeath to wife, MARY KANE all of his estate and upon her decease equally divided estate between children: THOMAS KANE, PATRICK KANE, JOHN KANE, CHRSTOPHER KANE, JAMES KANE and ALICE KANE. Appointed wife Mary, JAMES SHORT and JOHN SHORT executors. Will dated 9 June 1869. /s/JOHN KANE
