In the matter of the estate of LEONARD DELANO 2nd of Lorrain, Jefferson Co., NY:

On 9 March 1847, JOTHAM DELANO of Watertown, petitioned to open probate on the estate and stated that Leonard had lately died and left a will and named Jotham sole executor.

HENRY DELANO, all of Watertown, Jefferson Co.
JULIA LUTHER and her husband, MARTIN LUTHER of Walworth County, Wisconsin
PHILANDER DELANO and WILLIAM DELANO of Watertown, NY, minors under the age of 21 years and having no general guardian.

LEONARD DELANO named his brother, HENRY DELANO of Lorraine. Named his brother, PHILANDER DELANO. Named his brother WILLIAM L. DELANO. Names his sister, JULIA, wife of MARTIN LUTHER. Named his brother, JOTHAM DELANO of Lorraine and gave him land deeded to Leonard by LEONARD DELANO and MARSILVIA, his wife by deed of 18 May 1837. Mentioned another piece of land deeded to him by NORRIS M. WOODRUFF and ROXANA F., his wife on 13 February 1837. Balance of estate to brother Jotham Delano and named him sole executor. Will dated: 29 January 1847. /s/ Leonard Delano 2nd

NOTE: Leonard Delano 2nd was born 1815 and died 1847. His siblings were:
Thomas Delano (1819-1825)
Jotham Delano (1821- 1851)
Henry Delano (1825-1898)
Philander Delano (1828-1850)
Olive Delano (1831-1831)
William L. Delano (unknown)

His sister, Julia Delano Luther, was born 25 March 1823 and d. 8 Nov. 1892; she and husband Martin Luther were in Darien, Walworth Co, WI in 1850. Luther and Julia with some of their children are buried in the Darien Cemetery.

Mersilvia Delano, wife of Leonard, died 3 September 1875 at 80 years, 7 months, born New Hampshire. Leonard was born 1793 in CT and died 10 June 1871, Veteran of War of 1812. Both buried Huntington Cemetery.
