On 8 July 1844, RAWSOM M. COMINS of Watertown, NY petitioned to open probate and he had been appointed executor of the will.

WILL OF LIBERTY COMINS
LIBERTY COMINS named his daughter, CORDELIA, to her bond and mortgages of STUCKELY CONGDON and JAMES WRIGHT. To his executor his real estate. Mentioned wife but not by name. Named his youngest daughter, MARY A. If either daughters died without having children born in lawful wedlock, then he bequeathed the portion of such daughter under the will to his sisters: CYNTHIA AUBORN, JANE THORNTON, his brother CHARLES L. COMINS and PERLEY ANN COMINS. He nominated DANIEL LEE as guardian of his daughters during their minority. He appointed RAWSON M. COMINS as sole executor, but if he became unable to servc, then JOSEPH MULLIN as a successor. Will dated 16 February 1844. /s/ Liberty Comins.
