In the matter of the estate of ORMAN DYRE of West Carthage, Jeff. Co., NY: CLARISSA FRASIER of the Village of West Carthage, petitioned to open probate and stated that she was a daughter of ORMAN DYRE. Orman Dyre died on 13 May 1889, a natural death and left no will. She stated that the estate did not exceed four hundred dollars in value. Orman left the following:
CHARLES DYRE, resident of Watertown, NY
GEORGE DYRE of Silver Creek, NY
WILLIAM DYRE, whose residence is unknown
HOWARD DYRE, whose residence is unknown
FANNIE DYRE, whose residence is unknown
ADA DYRE of the City of Watertown, NY
MERCIA WEAVER, resident of West Carthage, NY
CLARISSA FRASIER, petitioner. All of the above-named persons were the children and all of the children of Orman Dyre.
In the petition, Clarissa asked the Probate Court to appoint Charles Dyre of Watertown, as administrator, being one of the sons of the deceased.

Subsequently, MARY L. DYER and JAMES H. DAWLY were appointed administrators and JOSEPH EVANS of Boulder, Colorado was named a necessary party to the proceeding. In a subsequent document, signed by the administrators, it was explained that Fannie Dyre was a daughter who died after the death of her father. She left a husband, JOSEPH EVANS, of Boulder, Colorado. MARY L. DYRE was the widow of ORMAN DYRE.
