In the matter of the estate of SAMUEL W. RICE of Champion, Jefferson Co., NY:

MARY RICE, widow, stated in her petition to open probate, that Samuel deceased on 20 October 1830 and had left a will. Petition dated 2 February 1836.

Heirs/next of kin:
MARY RICE, widow of Samuel W. Rice

WILL OF SAMUEL W. RICE

SAMUEL RICE named his wife, MARY RICE. After her decease, land was to go to his two sons: SAMUEL PORTER RICE and BENJAMIN MAINE RICE, who were then under 21 years of age. Named eldest daughter, DOLLY RICE. Named youngest daughter, MARY ANN RICE. Appointed wife, Mary, as executrix of the estate. Will dated: 20 October 1831. /s/ Samuel W. Rice.
Witnesses: JOEL P. RICE of Champion and ELI WEST of Wilna.
Will proved: 2 Feb. 1836.
