On 1 March 1859, RICHARD B. ADAMS of Watertown, NY petitioned to open probate and stated that he had been named as one of the executors; he left no widow surviving him.

RICHARD B. ADAMS, petitioner of Watertown, all children of the deceased.
EMMA C. HILL, grandchildren of the deceased, children of AMANDA R. HILL, a deceased daughter of SEPTIMUS G. ADAMS, deceased; of Watertown
PITT M. ADAMS of California, whose place of residence is unknown.
WILL OF SEPTIMUS G. ADAMS
SEPTIMUS G. ADAMS named his granddaughters, CAROLINE HILL and EMMA HILL, daughters of his daughter, AMANDA HILL, deceased. Named his children: WILLIAM C. ADAMS, LOYAL HOLLIS ADAMS, SEPTIMUS ELY ADAMS, PITT MORSE ADAMS, RICHARD BALDWIN ADAMS and MARY JANE EVERITT, wife of ELMER EVERITT. He appointed his sons, RICHARD B. ADAMS and SEPTIMUS ELY ADAMS as executors of the will. Will dated 26 April 1856. /s/ S. G. Adams.
