In the matter of the estate of SILAS S. WARD of Theresa, Jefferson Co., NY:
GEORGE W. FLOWER of Theresa brought the petition to open probate; he was a creditor of Silas S. Ward and stated that the deceased died a natural death and without a will on 22 September 1867. Petition dated 3 January 1859.

CAROLINE WARD, sister of the deceased all of Hartford, Washington Co., WI
JOHN WARD, a brother of deceased
LAURA PERKINS, a sister of the deceased of Casenovia, Madison Co. NY
MARY ANN VANCONT, sister of the deceased of Aydensburgh, St. Lawrence Co., NY

NOTE: It was determined that the bills/creditors exceeded assets and the real estate of Silas Ward was ordered to be sold to satisfy the creditors. To be sold at public auction the hotel kept by C. C. Chadwick in the Village of Theresa, on 19 July 1859...of which Silas S. Ward, late of Theresa, died seized and which was occupied by him as a residence at the time of his decease..the same land that was deeded by A. Baker to I. Huntington in 1847.
