In the matter of the estate of WILLIAM LA RUE of Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY:
Petition to open estate brought by WILLIAM J. LARUE of the Town of Lyme, Jefferson Co. He stated his father, WILLIAM LARUE, had deceased on 14 October 1868, at Watertown of a natural death and had left no will.
Named as heirs/next of kin in the Petition to Open dated 30 June 1870:
ELIZABETH DENSMORE, formerly of Watertown, Jefferson Co, now on a boat running on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie which she calls her residence.
SOPHIA CARNEY of Hastings, Oswego Co., NY
ABAGAIL VOSSLER of Conquish, Cauga Co, NY (sic. Conquest, Cayuga Co., NY)
ANN McMASTER of Homesville, Schoharie Co., NY
SALLY H. BURDICK of the city of Brooklyn, NY
NICHOLAS M. LA RUE of Schoharie Co., NY
All children of deceased and of full age.

The last three are all children of deceased son, JACOB E. LA RUE.

NOTE: William LaRue is buried in the Point Peninsula Cemetery at 88 years 20 days. Wife, Sophia, died 21 April 1861 at 78 years 9 months 20 days and is buried in the same cemetery. Deceased son, Jacob E. LaRue born on 24 March 1827 and died 9 Sept. 1866; he is buried in Brownville, as well as his wife, GRACIA A. LARUE; born 25 March 1823 and died 9 March 1879. Their son, Wellington W. was born 12 July 1860 and died 30 January 1880, buried Brownville.
