In the matter of the estate of WILLIAM MAHON /MAUGHAN of Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY:
On, ANN MAHON, widow, of Watertown stated that William Mahon had deceased a natural death on 14 July 1857, intestate and that she was about to be appointed administrator of the estate and THOMAS BAKER.

PATRICK MAHON/MAUGHAN of New Orleans
THOMAS MAHON/MAUGHAN of the City of Oswego
HANNAH HOVEY, wife of MICHAEL HOVEY, somewhere West
ISABELLA LADUE, wife of JOSEPH LADUE of Pamelia
MARY ANN FITZGERALD, wife of MICHAEL FITZGERALD
MARGARET SHEA, wife of PETER SHEA of Theresa,
all children of the deceased and of full age, and
WILLIAM MAHON of Wisconsin, also a child of the deceased of full age
Later in the file, MARY ANN FITZGERALD sent a letter to the Probate judge and stated she was the daughter of William Maughan who died 14 July 1857 and left his widow, Ann Maughan of Watertown.
She listed the children of William accordingly:
ISABELLA LADUE of Watertown
MARY ANN FITZGERALD
THOMAS MAUGHAN of Oswego
WILLIAM MAUGHAN of Jefferson Co., WI
MARGARET SHEA of Theresa
JAMES MAUGHAN, deceased who died in Montreal
Mary Ann stated that John left Canada for New Orleans; not heard from him since he got to New Orleans. John had a wife and three children when he left. - Patrick, LaDue, and Lance Maughan a son last heard from him he was in Montreal and then in hospital; had been sick almost eight years; left wife and child - do not know what became of them.
