The farmhouse on the Anthony place was built of limestone. As befitted an important man, it was large, with walk in cellar, and two stories above that. Beloved by the family who occupied it for nearly twenty years, a copy of this snapshot was displayed in many of the homes of the children who grew up there. The images of the women by the front gate are too tiny to be definitely identifies, except for the mother, Nancy (Myres) Dixon, who stands farthest to the right of the group.
