PIONEER BACON FAMILY


1. DAVID BACON, was the son of ABIGAIL COFFEE. He was born February 27, 1814 in VT or NY-Clinton Co.?, The David BACON family is listed in the 1840, 1850 and 1860 censuses with "PERRIGO" as the surname. The 1855 NY and from 1870 on, lists them as BACON. Various marriage and death certificates give BACON as the name. The Bacons lived initially in the Lyme area and then later in the Cape Vincent area. He died died September 13, 1883.

He married
MARIA MARGARET VALLIERE (daughter of CHARLES EDWARD and MARY (LONDRA) VALLIERE) was born August 7, 1815 in French Canada, and died September 1, 1881. Many of their children migrated to Wisconsin and Minnesota.
