1. JONATHAN BENNETT was born c1798 in ?RI ?MA. He was listed on the 1825 Alexandria, Jefferson County, NY census between PALMER SOPER and WILLIAM STORM. Other BENNETTS also listed, of whom we know nothing, were HENRY and JOSIAH BENNETT. We are curious about any BENNETTS in Jefferson County, NY. JONATHAN moved to Hermon, St.Lawrence Co., NY after his wife, REBECCA, died in 1844. We know nothing of DUNCAN BENNETT, other than he is listed at age 25 in the 1850 Hermon, St.Lawrence County, NY census and living with his sister, MELISSA, and brother-in-law HORACE WOOD. JONATHAN BENNETT died December 15, 1871 in Hermon, St.Lawrence Co., NY.

He married REBECCA (---) who was born c1794 and died December 19, 1844 in Theresa, Jefferson County.
