PIONEER COOK FAMILY



1. JOHN COOK was born in Massachusetts in 1794. When he was 12 years of age he came to Jefferson County with his parents and located in Ellisburgh. He died in 1877.

He married
ABIGAIL LITTLEFIELD of Massachusetts and they had 10 children, eight of whom attained adult age. ABIGAIL died in 1870.

4. WILLARD LITTLEFIELD COOK (son of JOHN & ABIGAIL (LITTLEFIELD) COOK) was born July 30, 1823 in Ellisburgh. He attended common schools and graduated from Commercial College at Syracuse. In the fall of 1861 he enlisted in the Union Army and lost his arm in the second battle of Bull Run.

He married (1)
CHARLOTTE FOX of Clayton, Jefferson County. They had seven children, four of whom attained adult age. She died in 1876.
