PIONEER COOL FAMILY



1. BENJAMIN REUBEN COOL came to America with his family before the Revolutionary War from Holland. He is found in the 1820 census for the Town of Brownville, Jefferson County, NY, They emigrated to Erie Co, Pennsylvania then Ashtabula Co, Ohio and finally in 1841 to Batchelors Grove, Illinois where he purchased land. While on a trip to St. Louis, Benjamin was taken sick and died in 1848.

He married LOIS MAXON who was born in 1792 and died in 1876.
