PIONEER DRESSER FAMILY


1. AARON DRESSER, (son of OLIVER and OLIVE (OSGOOD) DRESSER) was born 20 Mar 1765 at Princeton, MA. AARON opened Dresser's Tavern at the corner of two main roads in the county, one being the 'military road'. It became known as Dresser Hotel, and eventually became a grange hall, I am told. The crossroads community grew quickly and became known as Pamelia Four Corners. Aaron died in 1820 during a visit to his son's home in Dansville, NY. Abigail died in 1851.

He married 29 November, 1787, in Wendell, MA
ABIGAIL MUNROE who was the daughter of PHILIP and ABIGAIL (PARKER) MUNROE was baptised on 4 September, 1763, in Shrewsbury, MA. After living for several years in Montague, MA, they removed to Bridgewater, NY, then to Jefferson County before or during the War of 1812. Abigail died in 1851. Children, DRESSER:
