In addition, Brenda Greenley Rickman wrote in 1999: I have further data on the ancestors of this family, as well as dates of birth and death for TIMOTHY'S children. TIMOTHY was the brother of my grgrgrgrandfather Dr. THOMAS GREENLEY. The original family name was GOSLEE and was changed for unknown reasons to GREENLEY by TIMOTHY and THOMAS when they left Glastonbury CT just prior to 1800. THOMAS went to Hamilton, Madison Co and TIMOTHY settled in Jefferson Co. They had a third brother JAMES, who retained the original surname of GOSLEE, though he also moved to Madison Co NY settling in Eaton.

Since this name change makes for very difficult research, thought you might want to include the name change info for anyone looking into this family. You may site my name and email address for anyone to contact if they would like more info.
