1. ELLIOTT LYNDE (son of BENJAMIN and HANNAH (PHIPPS) LYNDE) was born Oct. 28, 1772 in Brookfield, MA. He came to the town of Antwerp, Jefferson County, in 1811. He was a Justice of the Peace, and carried the mail from Denmark to Ogdensburg during the War of 1812. He died April 1847 at age 76 and is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Town of Antwerp.
He married April 7, 1787 in Cavendish, Windsor Co., VT.
HANNAH WALKER, who was born 1777 and died 1850. She is also buried in
Hillside Cemetery. They had eleven children, all born in Antwerp.

10. JAMES C. LYNDE was born May 15, 1815 in Antwerp, NY. At the age of 47, he enlisted in the Union Army August 4, 1863 and was mustered out May 31, 1865 in very poor heath. He died January 22, 1879.
He married
ROANA CROWNER who was born in Champion, Jefferson County. They had six
children.
