The Institute opened Tuesday morning with the most flattering prospects. Monday evening and Tuesday morning saw a large addition to the number registered.

Prof. Kennedy began the instructions by answering a few questions propounded last evening. The Professor then took up the subject of word analysis.

There are two kinds of good teaching. 1-Objective; 2-Subjective. Objective teaching ends with language. Subjective begins with language.

Within the four divisions of teacher groups, in the Second Division, Prof. Lantry took up the subject of Primary Geography-the tangible and the visible.

In the Third Division, The subject of Numbers, commenced Monday, was continued by Prof. Kennedy.

Within the Fourth Division, Prof. Lantry postponed the subject of geography and took up civil government.

In the afternoon session, Prof. Lantry introduced the subject of reading. In the Second Division, Prof. Kennedy took up the subject of mathematical geography. Primary Geography was continued by Prof. Lantry in the Third Division and in the Fourth Division, Prof. Kennedy discussed Development of mathematical geography.
