Elihu Dodge was born 21/22 August 1756 in Colchester, New London Co., CT, and died 26 Nov. 1830 in Salem, New London Co. CT. He married 1)Hulda Tiffany on 15 May 1774 in Colchester. She was born 3 July 1753 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. He married 2nd to Lucretia Rogers who was bc 1759 and died 8 March 1842 in Salem, CT. Elihu and Lucretia are buried in the Wesley Brown Cemetery in Salem, CT. Elihu was a Corporal in Captain Jones' Co., under Col. Latimer from 24 August 1777. Lucretia applied for a Widow's pension on his service, W.17730.

Of the children that Elihu and Hulda had, there was a daughter, Sarann (Sally) Dodge who was born 15 May 1778 and died after 1813. She married George Dodge II, son of George Dodge Sr., and Jemima Wise. He was born 20 June 1776 in Colchester, New London co., Ct and died 24 April___. His brother, Nathan Dodge married Abigail Graves.
One of the children of George Dodge II and Sarann Dodge was Erastus Dodge who was born 10 May 1798 in Jefferson Co., NY. He died on 8 August 1843 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. He married Melissa Morgan on 16 August 1818. Melissa Morgan was the daughter of Nathaniel Morgan and Mary Wheeler. Melissa died on 10 December 1845 in Nauvoo, Illinois and both are buried in Nauvoo. Erastus was a stone mason.

David Graves was born 25 June 1773 in southern Vermont and died in September 1844 in Alexandria, Jefferson Co., NY. He married 1)Annis Church and 2)Judith Chase of Oneida Co., NY. She died in April 1876 in Theresa, NY at 91 years.

She was born 18 May 1758 in New London, CT, and died 11 Jan. 1832 in Antwerp, Jefferson Co., NY. Elijah was a private in the Revolutionary War and his service was drummer. He is listed in the DAR Patriot Index.

Joseph Graves, son of Elijah Graves and Elizabeth Warner (3 above), was born 3 Oct. 1787 in E. Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT and died 26 Dec. 1875. He married Anna M. Graves, a first cousin, daughter of Sterling Graves and Anna Cone, on 16 May 1815 in Copenhagen, Lewis Co., NY. She was born 29 July 1795 in E. Haddam, Ct. and died 1 Nov. 1882 in Black River, Jefferson Co., NY. Joseph was a soldier in the War of 1812, a lieutenant in the Militia in 1811 and captain from 1815 to 1818. He was appointed Commissioner of War Supplies and stationed at Sackets Harbor. Later he was a merchant of Watertown, NY and then retired to his farm in Rutland, Jefferson Co. He served as a town supervisor for ten years and member of the Assembly of the State of New York in 1843.

He married 1) Sarah Wicks on 21 March 1825. She was born 26 Feb. 1806 in NY and died 17 Dec. 1832 in Oxbow, Jefferson Co; buried Oxbow Cem. He married 2)Lurinda Tappon on 12 March 1835. She was born 11 March 1807 and d 7 Feb. 1882. This family was first in Antwerp, then Pamelia, then Antwerp and then Champion, all of Jefferson Co., NY.

Sterling Graves, son of Elijah Graves and Elizabeth Warner, (8 above) was born 11 May 1800 in E. Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT and died 16 Sept. 1881 in Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY. He married Ruby Otis on 4 March 1821 in Rutland, Jefferson Co., NY. She was born 4 May 1798 in Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT and died 3 May 1859 in Antwerp, Jefferson Co. Sterling purchased a farm at Antwerp where he lived for about 40 years. In March of 1861 he moved to Watertown, NY and lived there until his death.

He married Anna Ives, daughter of Jotham Ives and Anna Foster, of Torrington, Litchfield CT about 1794. She was born 26 Sept. 1773 in Torrington and died 7 July 1858 in Madison Co., NY.
