1. EBENEZER SAWYER (son of EBENEZER & (---) SAWYER) was born 30 Dec 1756 at Metheun, Essex County Massachusetts. He served in the Revolutionary War. He came to Jefferson County and settled in the Town of Henderson. He died 1840, and he and his wife are buried in the Carpenter Cemetery in Henderson.

He married about 1790
HANNAH WHITTIER, who was the daughter of DAVID & ABIGAIL (MORRILL)
WHITTIER, Sr. She was born 7 Jan 1766 and died in Henderson. Of her
seven children, we find only the names of two.

2. CHARLES SAWYER (son of EBENEZER & HANNAH (WHITTIER) SAWYER) was born in 1791. He came to Henderson previous to 1811, locating about half a mile west of the village. He served in the War of 1812 and afterward removed to Vermont.
He married 29 Dec 1821
SARAH B. SHEPARD, who was the daughter of JAMES & SARAH (RICHARDS) SHEPARD
of Danville, Vermont.
